Count Duckula title stamp by RetroKittycat Count Duckula title stamp by RetroKittycat
Oh, Count Duckula.... the cutest little vampire duck ever >W<

(and no, not the only vampire duck, apparently... he has an American 'cousin'(?) called Quackula lol
- I should see if I can find that series online so I can compare...)

"If you're looking for some fun,
You can always count upon,
The wild and wacky one they call,
DUCKULA!"

Nope, British :)
If I remember correctly, his voice actor put on an American accent
either that or his voice actor was American putting on a British accent
Whichever way, it's an English cartoon ^^ by Cosgrove Hall (?)

It was I think (I couldn't really say as I'm British myself)
And I've got several 80s video tapes of it XD Its a shame that some VCR's don't play them, they just spit them back out D: They are too old I guess -_-

As far as I know, they were not aired when I was little (I was born in '94) because I only know him from the old tapes I was given and nobody seems to know a thing about it :( which is a shame... I think children should watch all sorts of cartoons despite their age... old things need love too XD

DVDs of all the episodes are available and no, David Jason isn't American, but he does the voice well.

It was either one ;) because I kinda get mixed up with this other voice actor who was American but came to Britain and was a voice actor for British cartoons.... (not sure which though)

And I've seen them ^^ in HMV :D Too bad I'm always skint though... Its murder going in there and looking at all the stuff you want but can't get XD Makes me wonder why I bother :/ I'll get them one way or another though ^^ Perhaps a birthday?

In the meantime - there's always youtube! Good to hear of some younger fans who appreciate the good old 'toons I grew up on.

Are they even on youtube? :O Last time I looked, I could only find the opening and ending.... But I'll take a look, thanks ^^

And I appreciate toons from every generation, my parents brought me up on a lot of older things - I just find it sad that they don't even air them as often as they should, the last time I saw one was The Flintstones a year ago I think... then Top Cat about 5 years ago on ITV... which is all fine and dandy, but there are more cartoons than just Hannah-Barbera
